Conversion
The Atplas Intex 1 wall mounted wall box can be quickly and
easily converted to accomodate the Intex 2 manifold
cartridge should it become damaged and needs replacing.
Simply follow the procedure set out below and avoid
expensive and time consuming re-instatement processes.
Intex 1 to Intex 2 Conversion Procedure
Step 1. (fig. 1)
Turn off the mains water supply or, if this
is not possible, using the squeeze off
tool supplied in the Intex 2 tool kit,
squeeze-off the PE service.
Step 2. (fig. 2)
Disconnect the supply and outlet pipes.
Then unscrew the 4 chassis retaining
screws (located in each corner of the
chassis plate) and remove it from wall.

Clean exposed duct flange and apply a
suitable silicone seal to face of flange.
Step 4. (fig. 4)
Fit the adaptor plate to the duct flange
using the original fixing positions and
the supplied1.5” screws.

Disconnect Intet and outlet
Step 5. (fig. 5)
Insert the Intex 2 cartridge into the
opening in the adaptor plate and secure
in place using the 2 screws supplied.
NB Ensure that the direction of flow
arrow is correctly orientated.
Step 6. (fig. 5)
Refit the inlet and outlet service
pipe-work, adapting as required to suit
new connection positions. The flexibility
of the PE pipe should allow direct
re-connection.
Intex 2
The Atplas Intex 2 is a purpose designed
alternative to traditional underground meter
chamber systems for new domestic or small
commercial water connections. Intex 2
is designed to be built into the wall of
a property during its construction and
offers particular advantages over some
underground chamber systems especially in
areas of contaminated land. Intex 2 brings
benefits to the utility, the house builder or
developer and the consumer, in fact
everyone involved in the meter supply
chain.

These Intex 2 wall mounted meter box instructions must be followed carefully, Failure to do so

from failure to adhere to these instructions and/or negligent installation. As with all industrial
products it is important to take adequate safety precautions during installation, operation and
maintenance and use adequate protective clothing such as gloves, overalls, eye protection and
safety footwear. Existing good working practices should be also be adheared to.
These fittings are designed for the conveyance of cold potable water. Save with the express written
approval of Tyco waterworks, no warranty is given that the fittings are suitable for any other purpose.
