nnnnPRODUCT DESCRIPTION
nnnnHigh Temperature
nnnnFurnace Sensor
nnnnProduct code
nnnnHTF
nnnnFor continuously high temperatures ranging up to 1100°C a type
nnnn'K' thermocouple should be used or a type 'N' if temperatures are
nnnnlikely to peak at 1300°C. If using a bare wire thermocouple then the
nnnnelement needs to be supported within ceramic insulators, but this is
nnnnnot necessary if the thermocouple being used is a mineral insu-
nnnnlated (Ml) type.
nnnnSPECIFICATION
nnnnProtection tube material : grade 310 stainless steel or Incoloy.
nnnnProcess connection
nnnnConnection head
nnnnadjustable cast iron flange available if re
nnnnquired or a grade 316 stainless steel flange
nnnnwelded on to the protection tube at a sped
nnnnfied position.
nnnnin die-cast aluminium with hinged, screw
nnnndown cap and cable entry screwed M20. Envi
nnnnronmentally rated to IP67.
nnnnThermocouple
nnnnElement:
nnnnOperating range
nnnnsingle or duplex elements, type 'K' (NiCr/
nnnnNiAl) or type 'N' (Nicrosil/Nisil) thermocouple.
nnnnBare wire thermocouple in 14 or 10 AWG
nnnndiameter wire supported and insulated with
nnnnceramic insulators. Mineral insulated thermo
nnnncouples (Ml) are supplied in 3mm, 4.5mm
nnnnand 6mm diameters with either grade 310
nnnnstainless steel or Incoloy sheaths.
nnnn0 to +1300°C (-58 to+2372°F).
nnnnTemperature Transmitter
nnnnA temperature transmitter with a 4 to 20mA output can be supplied in
nnnnplace of the connection block for both hazardous and non-hazardous du-
nnnnties.
nnnnOther dimensions and tolerances outside the above specifications may
nnnnalso be available on application.
