The FabWorld II family of modular, flexible robotic welding solutions is designed especially for the manufacture of large parts that require longer cycle times. Two opposing part positioning locations allow overhead hoist or forklift access for part handling. Servo-controlled headstock/tailstock positioners with 1,075 kg or 3,000 kg maximum payloads allow the part to be positioned during welding. Common cell base speeds installation.
Pre-engineered FWII models feature single or dual Motoman “Master Arc” welding robots; the DX100 controller; integrated welding package; two headstock/tailstock positioners; common bases for robots
and positioners and for controller and welding equipment; operator interfaces on each side; and total safety environment.
Easy to Set Up and Program
n Robot(s) and positioners are mounted on common frame with
span set for 3.0-m workpiece lengths with 1.35-m turning diameters.
n Common equipment base for controller, power source(s) and auxiliary equipment reduces setup time.
n Twist-lock connectors are included on all interconnection cables.
n Coordinated motion software is included to make it easier to teach circumferential welds around contoured parts.
n Total safety environment includes complete barrier guarding; dual-channel safety-rated; tamper-resistant interlocks; single point of operator control; interlocked access door; headstock and robot base position switches; arc flash curtain; and dual-channel light curtains.
Master Arc Robots
n The extended-reach MA1900 provides nearly two meters of reach to access larger workpieces.
n Dual “Master Arc” MA1400 welding robots can be used to reach a larger part span and double productivity.
n Unique integrated torch cable design of the Master Arc-series
robots eliminates cable interference. This makes programming easier, improves access into part cavities/tooling,
and reduces wear and associated
cable maintenance downtime.
n MA-series robots are backed by the industry’s only two-year torch cable warranty.
DX100 Controller
n Windows® CE programming pendant with color touch screen,
fast processing, easy-to-use INFORM III programming language and robust PC architecture.
n Menu-driven arc welding software including graphic diagram of weld parameter settings.
n Safety features – enhanced dual-channel E-Stop functionality, integrated speed monitoring, manual brake release for the robot and compliance with both U.S. and Canadian safety standards.

n MHT-500 headstock/tailstock positioner provides 500 kg (1,102.5 lb) capacity at 152 mm
offset; 1,075 kg (2,370.4 lb) maximum capacity; 1,350 mm
(53.2") maximum fixture diameter; 3 m (118.1") standard workpiece length.
n Heavy-duty MHT-1600 headstock/
tailstock positioner provides 1,600 kg (3,528 lb) capacity at 152 mm offset; 3,000 kg (6,615 lb)
maximum capacity.
n MotoMount™ fixture system has 41-mm thru-hole for fixture utilities or can be fitted with optional slip rings.
n Coordinated motion allows weld joint to be kept in a gravity-neutral welding plane, improving weld quality.
n Manual jog capability facilitates
part loading and tacking operations.
n Tack table reduces cost and can be used for subassemblies.
