- Robust radio remote control for safety critical applications
Remotus Jupiter is Åkerströms’ standardized remote-control product line for
most of today’s industrial cranes and
overhead cranes, used, for example, in
manufacturing, steel works, mines and
processing industries. The system has
pre-programmed selections and work
on the general frequency bands so users
can easily install and start up the system.
The Jupiter line offers various transmitter
models. The waist transmitter comes in
three versions, Jupiter Era 90 and 100
handles three movements at two speeds
and contains two extra functions. The
other, Jupiter Era 150, a more sophisticated version, which handles three
movements at two speeds, and contains
five extra functions. The hand held transmitters comes in two models in different
variants. The new Jupiter Era transmitter
with 8, 6 or 4 two-stage buttons and
graphic LCD as standard. Jupiter 800
hand held transmitters comes with 8,
9 alt 10 two-stage buttons. The model
with 9 buttons also comes with a rotary
switch. LEDs on each button indicate
selected function and a separate LED indicates storage battery status and operation. The transmitters are available with
Nordic/DIN symbols, Compass signs
alt numbered 1-8/1-10. The transmitters

1-8/1-10 are adapted for other machine
operation within the industry and can be
configured with up to 10 functions.

Jupiter Era waist transmitters.
Jupiter Era waist transmitters is easy to
use and have a well thought out robust
and ergonomic design. It is designed
with rubberized handles for the best
possible grip and it stands stable on
its stainless steel feet even when not
in use. The waist transmitter has dual
CPUs for extra high security level.
Jupiter Era waist transmitters has active
stop, stops in <100 ms and tilt switch.

Alarm and unique battery
solution
Jupiter Era 100/150 comes with graphic
LCD as standard, built-in vibrator and
buzzer that can be configured for different alarm events, the backlight can
for example change to red color at
different alarms. The LCD has a clear
and simple setting menu. The waist
transmitters has an unique battery
solution where the battery is wellprotected from water and dust inside a
replaceable module. The access panel
is located below the transmitter.

Jupiter Era hand held transmitters has
got a new modern and robust design.
The transmitter is very light and easy
to carry, only 265 g (incl battery) The
transmitters are of protection class IP67
which means completely dust and water
tight. It has an adaptive output power
– If the signal strength is strong, both
transmitter and receiver “downshift” to a
lower output power in order to minimize
interference as much as possible.
