Åkerströms’ Remotus Mercury line contains customized products for radio remote control of cranes and overhead cranes
in demanding industrial environments as
for example steel works, mines, and the
processing industry.The robust hand held
transmitters are available in four models
and are tailored to suit your needs.
Each Mercury hand held transmitter is tailor
made for the specific functions the customer
solution requires. You can order transmitters
with highly legible, exchangeable symbols
that are specific for your operation.

Robust design.
We developed the Mercury hand held
transmitter line for indoor and outdoor
use. Protective rubber bumpers make them
extra shock resistant. They’re equipped
with a membrane value that releases any
condensation when they’re exposed to
fast, drastic temperature changes.

Durable buttons and
display as an option.
The transmitters have large, clearly visible,
rugged buttons. The Mercury 8/10/12B
has 8/10/12, two-stage buttons that enable
double functions for each pushbutton. The
Mercury 9B RS has 9, two-stage buttons

and a rotary switch that you can program
for up to 18 functions/command in 4
positions. LEDs on each button indicate
selected function. A separate LED indicates
storage battery status and operation. Mer
cury 9B RS/10B/12B can be equipped with
a graphic display, 102x64 pixles, where
up to 4 values with unit can be displayed
simultaneously, such as numerical or bar.

Configuration of button functions, frequency, shutdown time, and remaining or
momentary functions, is easily done from
the pushbuttons. You can also configure
the transmitters via computers with ordinary terminal programs. The transmitters
come with a temperature-compensating
battery indicators and low-battery alarms.

Portable configuration and
ergonomic design.
Users can store configurations on a configuration information module (CIM) card.
That way, the transmitter’s configuration
can be effortlessly moved to another transmitter, for example, when a reserve transmitter replaces the current transmitter. The
CIM card is protected during operation but
is easily accessible via a service shutter.
