Remotus Mercury
- Robust radio remote control for safety critical applications
Åkerströms’ Remotus Mercury is our
customized remote-control product
line for industrial cranes and overhead
cranes, used, for example in manufacturing, steel works, mines, and processing
industries. These products are easily
adapted to your operation’s specific
requirements. Functions, frequencies,
design, and layout are easily tailor made.
The Remotus Mercury line provides the
necessary safety, security, and reliability
required for wireless control in challenging industrial environments. Remotus
Mercury products can be easily modified
and customized for your exact needs.
Secure radio transmission.
Several optional technologies prevent
radio transmissions from the remote-control system from being sensitive to interference. One technology is continuous
frequency hopping; here, the transmitter
and receiver quickly hop between many
frequencies as per a predetermined pattern and then automatically synchronize
with each other. The frequencies need
not be set because they’re managed
automatically.

REMOTUS MERCURY
• Customized systems for your needs
You can use the products on several
frequency bands—433-434 MHz, 863870 MHz, 902-928 MHz and 2.4 GHz.
Licensed bands on request. Several
functions enable automatic transmitter
and receiver connections on an available frequency and sharing on the same
frequency band. A user can maneuver
several objects from the same transmitter (multi-crane operation). And several
users can maneuver one object from several transmitters (multi-operator operation). Two-way communication enables
data transmission back to the transmitter
(operator).
• Designed for use in tough environments
• Multi-crane and multi-operator operation
• Two-way communication
• Secure radio transmission with continuos tt
frequency hopping
• Movable configuration via CIM-card
• Ergonomic design
Portable configuration.
Users can store configurations on a
configuration information module (CIM)
card. That way, the transmitter’s configuration can be effortlessly moved to another transmitter. Eg, a spare transmitter.
