nnnnFisher 1035/El-O-Matic double-acting and
nnnnspring-return rotary valve actuators are compact,
nnnnsimply-designed control devices quality-engineered to
nnnnprovide high torque outputs to 5700 N»m (50,000
nnnnlbf»in) and a high cycle life.
nnnnA compact, dual-opposed rack and pinion design and
nnnnguide band suspension system combine to produce a
nnnnsymmetrically balanced, center-mount actuator with a
nnnnshort powerful stroke and rapid response. A fully
nnnnconcentric operating load capability provides
nnnnoptimum performance.
nnnnFeatures
nnnn■ Three Point Suspension System—Three carbon-filled
nnnnPTFE guide bands provide a low friction bearing
nnnnsurface for piston alignment and rack support.
nnnnElimination of metal-to-metal contact between
nnnnpistons and cylinder wall reduces friction for
nnnnoutstanding cycle life, smooth piston travel, and
nnnnmaximum power.
nnnn■ Balanced Piston Design—As part of the design, three
nnnnequally spaced bearing surfaces are cast into each
nnnnpiston. The rack and pinion construction results in
nnnneven distribution of bearing loads, optimum gear
nnnnengagement, and reduced piston tilt. Equal spring
nnnnforce applied to each piston enhances actuator life.
nnnn■ Multiple Constructions—Conversion from double
nnnnacting to spring return, or vice versa, is simple and
nnnnsafe, thus reducing spare part requirements.
nnnnValve/actuator action is also field reversible.
nnnn1035/EI-O-Matic Actuator with Fisher A41 Valve
nnnnDual Stop Adjustment—This adjustment is standard
nnnnon all E Series actuators. The P Series actuators are
nnnnsupplied with a limit plate adjustment feature.
nnnnDual Piston Design—Air pressure applies a balanced
nnnnforce across the common pinion gear (see figure 1).
nnnnSymmetrically balanced center mount construction
nnnneliminates undue stress on the valve stem,
nnnnbearings, and disc.
