Design

The submerged agitator system is basically

nnnn

composed of a submerged geared motor, a

nnnn

propeller set, a guide component as well as a

nnnn

guide sledge. The submerged geared motor is

nnnn

permanently attached to the guide sledge. The

nnnn

guide component is of the twin-type design and

nnnn

serves for submerging the agitator which is fixed

nnnn

in the specified position. The patented shock

nnnn

absorbing system minimizes the changing loads

nnnn

exerted on the agitator which are caused by

nnnn

external flow influences. Due to this, the lifetime

nnnn

of the drive is increased, and the detrimental

nnnn

effects caused by alternating loads on stainless

nnnn

steel are reduced. The guiding device is

nnnn

additionally fitted with supports, and, thus, the

nnnn

forces exerted are securely handled.

Installation condition

nnnn

Submerged agitators are mostly applied in

nnnn

structures permitting closed horizontal flow

nnnn

movement due to their geometrical shape. In

nnnn

addition to circular and annular-shaped basins,

nnnn

they also include trenches and circulation ditches.

nnnn

Since, as a rule, the basins where submerged

nnnn

agitators are used cannot be emptied, the

nnnn

installation has to be carried out in such a manner

nnnn

that the removal from the basin is possible from

nnnn

a safe place. Moreover, the arrangement depends

nnnn

on the basin's geometrical parameters and size.

nnnn

Stationary and mobile lifting devices can be

nnnn

supplied at request.

nnnn

For ensuring complete flow efficiency, no

nnnn

disturbing internal components should be

nnnn

mounted, if possible, in the suction and pressure

nnnn

section of the agitator. With combined application

nnnn

with an aeration system a sufficient minimum

nnnn

distance ist to be also guaranteed to the aeration.

nnnn

If the agitators are not used in permanent

nnnn

operation, due to process reasons, soft start-up

nnnn

or FU operation is required.
