nnnnAdsorption filter for the removal of oil, hydrocarbons,
nnnnodors and vapors.
nnnnDonaldson Ultrac A adsorption filter elements incorporate
nnnntwo stages of filtration. The first stage contains activated
nnnncarbon for removal of oil, hydrocarbon and odor vapors
nnnnthrough adsorption. The second filtration stage consists
nnnnof binder-free borosilicate depth media, supported by
nnnnmicrofiber polyamide fleece, for removal of particulate
nnnncontamination in the air or gas stream. These filtration
nnnnstages are followed and supported by an outer stainless
nnnnsteel core, which also protects the element against
nnnnpressure shock.
nnnnFlow distribution into and through the element has
nnnnbeen optimized by the use of a carefully designed inlet/
nnnnoutlet end cap incorporated into the element itself. Flow
nnnndirection through the element is inside-to-outside, which
nnnnminimizes pressure drop and assures full utilization of
nnnnboth layers of filter media. Residual oil content is less
nnnnthan 0.003 ppm with an inlet challenge of 0.01 ppm
nnnn(might require recommended prefiltration).
