nnnnPall Carbo filter elements are manufactured from high quality
nnnncarbon material. The various grades of Carbo elements
nnnnavailable are manufactured from different grain size fractions
nnnnwith the carbon grains being Integrally linked by carbon bridges.
nnnnCarbo filter elements exhibit a high chemical resistance, due
nnnnto their binder-free carbon structure.
nnnnCarbo elements are utilised across a wide field of applications.
nnnnThe fine porous types with a smooth surface are particularly
nnnnsuitable for fine filtration utilising back-wash cleaning technology.
nnnnThe coarser types exhibit a slightly rougher surface, and these
nnnnare Ideal for use In pre-coat filtration applications employing
nnnncellulose as the filter aid has an affinity for the rough Carbo
nnnnfilter element surface.

nnnnCarbo filter elements are resistant against hot and cold acids
nnnnand alkaline solutions In the range from pH 0 to pH 14.
nnnnThey have limited resistance against strongly oxidizing liquids.
nnnnWater vapour can be filtered using Carbo elements and
nnnnback-washing of the filter media is possible. Carbo filter
nnnnelements show excellent resistance against salt solutions.
nnnn1 As end use conditions can vary, it is the users responsibility to verify
nnnncompatibility with their specific use conditions.
nnnnGeneral Information
nnnn• Ceramic elements are to be handled with care.
nnnn• Elements can be easily glued using commercial glues which Pall can supply.
nnnn• Careful consideration should be paid to operating temperature and chemical resistance.
nnnn• The filter elements are usually Installed In the filter housing using a metal tie-rod system,
nnnnflat gaskets and a temperature compensation plate.
