The CACTUS® is a breakthrough smart sensor providing a real-time access to
oil ageing thanks to the continuous measurement of fluid’s viscosity, density,
relative humidity (water activity), and temperature.

A load optimizer
The Cactus® quantifies the efficiency of the lubrication process by
measuring in real-time the actual thickness of the lubricating film
while the machine is running.
Prior to acoustics
The Cactus® detects the very first signs of oil ageing. These changes
in oil properties, mainly due to water intrusion, fuel leaks, or lubricant oxidation, can lead to critical failures that acoustic methods unfortunately locate at the end of the failure cycle.

Selfbalancit® technology
1. The density era is divided into meaningful ranges: 600 - 950 // 900 - 1200 // 1100 - 1500
The viscosity era is divided into meaningful ranges: 0.3 - 10 // 3 - 80 // 10 - 200
2. Indicated performances have been obtained in controlled laboratory conditions using sensor's digital output. In practice, additional inaccuracy might arise
due to application's conditions, use of the analog mode, fluid characteristics..
SPECIFICATIONS
Considering that 70% of failures happening to rotating machines is
found to be as a result of poor lubrication, oil contamination or uncontrolled ageing, ensuring that lubricant meets best quality standards is important. This is where the CACTUS® can help, by monitoring the changes in the fundamental properties of oils: viscosity, relative humidity, and density.
The Selfbalancit® technology was built to provide continuous ASTMcompliant measurements at the process level by compensating in
real-time the pressure & temperature variations that naturally arise
during industrial operations. Thanks to Selfbalancit®, users do not
need heavy temperature regulation systems and get in real-time
both raw measurements (under process conditions) and normalized
results (compensated at 40°C, 100°C for ex.)
