For harsh & industrial application, laboratory QC & OEM integration
The WATERACT® is a compact, smart sensor providing users with continuous
water activity (aw) measurements. Water activity relies to the water content
of a fluid, full water activity being reached when water condensates into droplets.

Real-time calibrated output Water activity (aw), Temperature (°C)
Operating conditions Temperature: -40°C ... +120 °C
Pressure:
Atm ... 50 bar
Although hydraulic, lubricating and insulating oils have a certain capability to
handle water, they might in some given conditions reach their saturation
point. This is where dissolved water condensates into droplets, leading to
accelerated corrosion, irreversible and costly failures.
Communication 4 - 20mA, USB, RS232, ModBus TCP, GSM
Mechanical integration SCREW design, to be screwed on the piping: G 1/2", NPT 1/2"
(other on demand) SLIM design, for immersion into the fluid
Acquisition frequency (max) 1 Hz
Simple, robust and plug n’ play
Perfect for installations management
Water activity indicates how close water condensation is, ranging
from 0 (dry fluid) to 1 (free water). Because saturation depends on
fluid’s composition, ageing, pressure and temperature conditions,
measuring aw is the best way to manage water in running installations.
Sealing ring Viton ©, Kalrez © (option)
Wetted parts Stainless Steel 316L, Hastelloy (option)
Weight 150 g (screw design)
Dimensions OD max = 34mm, L = 53.8mm (screw design)
Dimensions can be modified for OEM applications
Version 2_120426
The Wateract® product line is delivered - calibrated, featuring both
digital or analog outputs. Its proprietary algorithms provide excellent operating performances while its industrial packaging makes it
suitable for harsh conditions (ATEX zone 0). Either screwed on a
pipe or immerged into a bath, Wateract® puts you in control. An
acquisition software is also available for data reading, recording &
reuse.
Response < 30 sec
Certifications CE, ATEX - II 1G Ex ia IIC T4
Typical applications High voltage transformer oils
Hydraulic oils
Lubricating oils, rotating machineries (wind power, engines)
1. Metrological performances mentioned above were obtained in controlled lab conditions with reference fluids.
Reefuge® technology
The WATERACT® benefits from the exclusive Reefuge® sensing &
protecting technology that provides an unrivaled endurance to
highly contaminated fluids and provides an excellent dynamic
behavior and repeatability.
