Description
The “UNIWEIGH” series load cell has been specifically
developed for use electronic scales where the load
may be placed at any random position on a loading
platform.
Typical applications are in retail shop scales, industrial
counting scales, pre-packing scales, batch weighing
machines, money checkers, pharmaceuticals, medical
and scientific instrumentation. Compression loads from
the loading platform are applied directly enabling much
simpler constructions without the requirement for
levers, flexures or pivots; scale design and
maintenance is therefore greatly simplified. The
“UNIWEIGH” series load cell is particularly immune to
eccentric loading, the load being commonly applied via
a simple X or H frame whose loading points are at the
corners of the load platform. The “UNIWEIGH” series
load cells are available in two distinct sensitivities
offering the customer considerably lower ranges of this
device than were hitherto possible. The “UNIWEIGH”
series cover full scale load ranges from as low as 100
grams to 50 kilograms.
