Security functions (e.g. call-back)
It's not only a communication modem that you get
from BECK. On the one hand functional range is
crucial for application development, however the
level at which you can address and use the
functions provided is also very important. In the
modem world, AT control commands have been
accepted as a quasi standard. This convention
originates from the time of acoustic couplers and
analogue modems and has - with the help of
newer, partly proprietary extensions - maintained
its position as the most prevalent control method.
With over 350 supported AT commands, the GM01
is prepared for all eventualities.
•
Read out of field strength and signalling of
connection drop-outs to the application
•
Call acceptance and automatic call-back.
Authentication and call-back of a predefined
telephone number are important remote
access security characteristics.
Event controlled sending of SMS
•
Quad-band
Persistent data storage on the SIM card. The
entire assembly can be replaced for service,
parameter specifications can then be imported
from the SIM card.
•
World-wide approvals
PIN/PUK: Easy registration using PIN

Today a world without mobile communication
applications is unthinkable. GSM/GPRS solutions
are needed everywhere where global availability,
mobility or simply a communication medium is
needed for the connection of remote installations.
The GM01 modem offers everything that you need
for worldwide deployment:
Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP): Establishing a
GPRS connection to an Internet provider with
optional registration of a symbolic Web
address using DynDNS
Configuration per Web server
The GM01 GSM/GPRS modem works seamlessly
with the functionality provided by the RTOS
operating system. All of the well-known
IPC@CHIP® Internet technologies are at your
disposal over the modem connection. Due to the
use of an internal TCP/IP stack, there are no
restrictions using TCP/IP based services as can
occur with comparable modems.
The FK61-GM01 Function Kit supplies everything
needed for a problem-free integration of the
modem into your circuitry, e.g. templates for the
power supply design and many software examples
for the function library that comes with the kit. Our
Function Kit allows you to integrate the modem at
a price well below a comparable plug-in modem.
Add-On GM01:
Access to modem functions on the basis of AT
commands is challenging and can keep a
developer busy for a long time considering the
more than 560 pages of documentation. The
benefit that you get from using the GM01 primarily
lies in the availability of complex functions that help
you to efficiently develop solutions for your
communication tasks:
