Bare Fiber Adapter for Ribbon Fiber
The OP-BFA is a precision bare fiber adapter for ribbon
fibers. This unique tool allows quick alignment of a cleaved
bare ribbon fiber to the optical power meter for fast and
easy insertion loss measurement.
With the QuickClamp design, ribbon fiber is aligned into the
precision channel and protected with cushioning pads to
prevent pressure damage or fiber movement. This two piece
aluminum body adapter means no special cleaning tools are
required in the case of broken fibers.
Ribbon Fiber Test Solutions
Measuring Insertion Loss (IL) and Return Loss (RL) on multiple fibers can be challenging; the connectors may
be difficult to clean, high quality reference cables may be hard to get and the measurement step requires fiber
management and organizational skills beyond belief.
With the OPSeries Multifiber Test Systems, tailored solutions measure the necessary parameters on mulitfiber cables
such as MTP/MPO Cables, Fanouts, Multi-termini Connectors, and even Duplex or Simplex Cables.
Compact instrumentation combined with the efficient OPLMax application software, the test setup and measurement
data stay well-organized.
