The economics of site characterization and remediation testing are quite different from those of traditional laboratory
analysis. Remediation productivity can be significantly enhanced by moving the laboratory to the samples. Teledyne
Leeman Labs has developed a new ICP engineered to withstand the rigors of in-field operation, while also providing
laboratory quality data. Identical in design and capability to our powerful Prodigy High Dispersion ICP, the Prodigy –
Mobile Lab is built to travel to where you need real time analysis; over land or over sea.
The Prodigy incorporates Leeman’s high resolution Echelle spectrometer together with our large format programmable
array detector (L-PAD) to provide the analyst with interference free measurements and superior stability. Its
simultaneous data acquisition system enables the analyst to measure up to 70 elements in under a minute for
exceptional productivity.
On the outside, the practical design and rugged construction of the transportable ICP are readily apparent. Our
engineers worked closely with truck and trailer manufacturers as well as remediation companies to determine the
specific hazards associated with on-site transportable operation. Prodigy – Mobile Lab’s integral suspension system
works in conjunction with parent vehicle’s suspension, to isolate the instrument from drive train, road and
shock hazards.
