The Meggitt (Sensorex) SX43040 Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) provides high performances,
dynamic angular velocity and acceleration measurements across three orthogonal axis.
Design of the SX43040 series incorporate the use of three MEMS-based accelerometers and
three vibrating structure gyro meters, positioned on each of three axis.
The use of MEMS technology ensures high reliability and robustness within many applications and
environments.
The further incorporation of Meggitt (Sensorex) own digital electronics allows for an overall IMU
accuracy that is normally only found with more expensive technology.
Individual sensor output is corrected for non-linearity, temperature drift and miss-alignment errors.
Bias drift can also be reset using the digital interface.
Acceleration, angular speed and temperature outputs are available as differential analog and RS
485 Modbus RTU outputs.
Bandwidth may be user-modified through the Modbus, which also has built-in monitoring and
self-test functions on each axis.
