M.E.SCHUPP CeraSetter is a fiber based formed product
mainly made from Al2O3 and SiO2 with binder which is
presintered at high temperature.
The setters are used for metal injection molding, in kilns for
powder metal sintering and for sintering of multilayered
ceramic capacitors. It has only 25 % to 30 % of the weight of
high density materials. This means less heating energy is
required, and as the heating and cooling cycle is shortened,
the complete sintering cycle is also shortened, thus higher
productivity is attained and costs are kept low. The high
permeability provides an excellent debinding of supported
goods. Because of its light density, the push rate can be
reduced giving excellent workability. It is also optimal for
automated firing processes.
