OptiWay® Network Interface Device, NG Series
An Evolant® Solutions Product
Description
The Corning Cable Systems OptiWay® Network Interface
Device, NG Series (NID) is the next-generation in all-plastic
enclosures specifically designed to house electronic circuits for
the growing FTTx and broadband access markets. This stateof-the-art NID is designed to either replace or supplement
existing fiber or standard copper NIDs. Suitable for outdoor
environments, the OptiWay NID utilizes a smaller enclosure
in keeping with the shrinking size of today’s electronics. The
enclosure incorporates a hinged interface for access to OEM
electronics. An optional integrated slack storage housing
combines economy of space with the trend toward customers’
preference for a sleek appearance on the side of the house.
The OptiWay NID integrates the Corning Cable Systems
proven OptiFit® Drop Cable Assembly adapter in a more
seamless manner than earlier models, greatly reducing
installation time and complexity.
