General purpose, ultraprecision optical
CMM for quality control in production or
failure analysis in R&D.
OmniLux is a non-contact optical
coordinate measuring machine that measures
components in numerous geometric forms
at the highest accuracy. Sphere, Asphere,
Cylinder, Internal Bore, Cone/Taper, Step
Height and Freeform shapes are examples
of this machine’s versatile applications. The
use of optical sensors contributes to swift
measurement speed and ensures that the
component’s surfaces are not damaged.
The highly versatile OmniLux provides
unparalleled levels of 3D capture for
component measurement. Its speed and
accuracy provides you with a non-contact
instrument that checks your component
form and geometry in a matter of seconds
or minutes, reducing cycle time in either
production or R&D environments.
The OmniLux can be utilised to measure
the surfaces on many different materials
including polished or rough metals, ceramics
and polymers.
The familiar Windows® interface enables the
operator to control the instrument with ease.
Data analysis, automation and export of results
for fast report generation are standard features.
Sub-nanometre roughness and surface texture
measurement can be achieved with the optional
White Light Interferometer (WLI) head - RedLux’s
surface profiler which uses a measurement
technique known as ‘low-coherence scanning
white light interferometry’ . Typical measurements
and applications of the WLI are surface finish/
roughness, form removal & residual analysis,
flatness, step-height, defect inspection and film
thickness.
