AC Brushless Servomotors
nnnnH-Series Servomotors
nnnnORMEC's H-series AC brushless
nnnnservomotors provide high torque-to-
nnnninertia ratios and excellent continuous
nnnntorque and peak torque performance in
nnnna compact design. These industrial-
nnnnquality servomotors incorporate high-
nnnnenergy, rare earth, neodymium-iron-
nnnnboron magnets and a highly efficient
nnnnstator winding design which results in
nnnnexcellent power density.
nnnnThe H-series servomotors also
nnnncompletely eliminate brush wear
nnnnmaintenance problems, and feature
nnnnextremely durable construction which
nnnnincludes heavy duty bearings.
nnnnRugged MS connectors provide
nnnnreliable interconnections to both
nnnnmotor and optical encoder.
nnnnFeatures
nnnn3 Continuous stall torques from 3 to
nnnn665 in-lb (0.32 to 75 N-m)
nnnn3 High peak torques from 8 to 1,000
nnnnin-lb (0.96 to 113 N-m)
nnnn3 Output power from 100 to 11,000
nnnnwatts (0.13 to 15 HP)
nnnn3 High maximum speeds from 3,000
nnnnto 5,000 RPM
nnnn3 Incremental encoder resolutions up
nnnnto 131,072 counts per revolution
nnnn3 Optional absolute encoders feature
nnnnmulti-rev operation up to 1,048,576
nnnncts/rev.
nnnn3 Class B or F insulation providing
nnnnlong winding life under rated
nnnnoperating conditions
nnnn3 Minimum torque ripple & cogging
nnnnfor smooth low-speed performance
nnnn3 Totally Enclosed Non-Ventilated
nnnn(TENV) standard IP-67 except shaft
nnnnopening, optional shaft oil seal is
nnnnavailable.
nnnn3 Optional fail-safe holding brakes
nnnnMotor/Drive Combinations
nnnnThe performance of these ser-
nnnnvomotors is a direct function of the
nnnnfactory-matched servomotor/drive
nnnncombination.

nnnnometer adjustments. High bandwidth
nnnnoperation and a quality high resolution
nnnnencoder provide the response &
nnnnaccuracy for demanding applications.
nnnnPeak torques up to three times the
nnnnrated torque are available for a few
nnnnseconds, allowing the motor/drive to
nnnnhandle high inertial loads & heavy duty
nnnncycle requirements. Each drive's
nnnnmotor parameters are configured in
nnnnsoftware for high performance and RMS
nnnncurrent limiting.
nnnnAbsolute Encoder Option
nnnnCost-effective absolute en-
nnnncoder support provides axis position
nnnnover a range of 65,536 revolutions. In
nnnncontinuous uni-directional operation,
nnnnthe position count continually "wraps"
nnnnthrough the full range while main-
nnnntaining absolute position within the
nnnncycle. Position is maintained through
nnnnpower cycles by a lithium battery
nnnn(optional) on the ServoWire® digital
nnnndrive.
