VOLUME CALCULATION
2D OR 3D ALIGNEMENT
Creating a surface with VisionCivil has never been
so easy. A surface is created from a selection
chart or a group of items. Its user-friendly edit
function makes the integration of lines, breaklines
and holes easy. Discriminating triangles
interactively enables modification of perimeter
triangulation.
Volumes can be calculated from 2 surfaces or a
surface and a fixed level. A detailed report in text
format containing the calculation of excavation
and backfill, is displayed. Calculations are done
using 3D and 2D surfaces, and the swell factor
as well.
Profiles designs are defined by longitudinal
alignment of 2D or 3D and are composed of
polylines, lines, curves, spirals and verticals
curves. A sophisticated parameterization presents
alignments with complex constraints on the
following elements: length of map sheets,
heights, widths, chaining altitudes, primary and
secondary altitudes, overlapping and begging,
and end extension.
COGO
PIPES
Geo-Plus VisionCivil handles pipes as alignments.
With a parameterization of associated nodes
(manholes) and segments (pipes), pipes are
designed in a plan or on profiles, in reference to
a road centerline. Amongst others, this displays
the nodes that are shared between different
pipelines showing the potential for conflict.
To use COGO calculations functions, elements
of design such as points, lines, directions and
distances are entered. For a calculation the user
chooses a point of origin by clicking a coordinate
on the screen, or by entering a point number.
In order to define a direction or a distance of a
calculation, the user can choose 2 points on the
screen, a drawn line, or two points numbers.
CROSS SECTIONS
Cross-sections are created from alignments, using
intervals of chaining of desired width.
PADS
Modeling of all theoretical surfaces whether
rectangular or others, is automatically adjusted
according to the slopes edge connecting the land.
