nnnnThe new ai200 equipment is a professional underground pipe and cable locator for
nnnnutilities. It marks the route and indicates the depth of different distribution networks
nnnnai200-TX transmitter injects 3 active signals by direct
nnnnconnection, induced with clamp or with a built-in antenna:
nnnn- in places where it is possible to make a direct
nnnnconnection, signals are injected with alligator clamps:
nnnnde-energized electric cables, telephone cables, water
nnnnand gas metallic pipes, etc.
nnnn- if it is possible to access the cable but is energized,
nnnnsignals may be induced with an injection clamp:
nnnnenergized MV and LV cables, telephone cables, etc.
nnnn- if the cable cannot be reached or its position is
nnnnunknown, induction can be made from the earth surface
nnnnusing a built-in antenna: electricity, telephone, gas and
nnnnwater utilities cable and pipe avoidance before digging,
nnnnetc.
nnnnInjected power level is selectable by the user up to 10W.
nnnnMeasures loop impedance, making it possible to choose the
nnnnbest working frequency for each case.
nnnnai200-RX receiver detects 3 active signals (sent by the
nnnntransmitter) and 2 passive 50/60Hz and radio signals (radiated
nnnnby utility networks). Its built-in antenna configuration
nnnnautomatically calculates the target position with a digitally
nnnnprocessed algorithm. A large size LCD screen shows two
nnnnarrows that help users pinpoint underground pipe and cables
nnnnin an easy and intuitively way.
nnnnIt measures pipe's and cable's depth by pushing a simple
nnnnbutton.
nnnnAs an optional feature it can also positively identify
nnnn(discriminate) electric and telephone cables using different
nnnntypes of sensors, depending on cable's accessibility (trenches,
nnnnmanholes, transformer substations, etc.).
