nnnnAPPLICATION
nnnnVolute pumps of the series ZTN have been specially developed for
nnnnhandling of mineral and synthetic heat transfer oils. The pumps
nnnnmay be used in installations with positive or negative suction
nnnnpressure.
nnnnEspecially to be emphasised is the application in plants of:
nnnnThe chemical Industry:
nnnnheating of agitators, reactors, drying plants, polymerisation
nnnnplants, plants for conveying high-viscous products and
nnnnproducing plastic materials and synthetic fibres.
nnnnThe rubber and plastic Industry:
nnnnheating of calendars, melting pots, power presses for
nnnnplastics, automatic injection moulding machines, production
nnnnof PVC adhesive tape.
nnnnThe food Industry:
nnnnheating of baking and fish-frying ovens, distillation of fatty
nnnnacids and glycerine, fat softening plants, production of potato
nnnnchips and milk powder.
nnnnThe paper Industry and laundries:
nnnncalendar rolls, production of corrugated cardboard, heating
nnnnof washing machines, mangles and dryers.
nnnnDESIGN
nnnnHorizontal, single-stage volute pumps with the dimensions and
nnnnnominal ratings to 24255/EN 733 in back pull out design* which
nnnnpermits the removal of the complete bearing unit toward the drive
nnnnend without removing the pump casing from the pipe work. If a
nnnnspacer coupling is installed it is also unnecessary to disconnect the
nnnnmotor.
nnnnThe programme comprises 38 pump sizes, but only three shaft
nnnnassemblies are required owing to the unit construction system.
nnnnWithin each shaft assembly, shafts, shaft sealing, impeller
nnnnfastenings, bearing bracket and bearing covers are inter-
nnnnchangeable.
nnnnThe DIN 4754 regulations are complied with.
nnnnShould heat carrier seepage occur from the shaft seal, it is
nnnnensured that the leakage will be drained off and collected
nnnncompletely.
