Pipe Freezing
SuperFreeze ® Pipe
Freezing Unit
Model SF-2500
Pipe freezing is taken to a new level by the SF-2500 – up to 21/2″
for copper tube and 2″ for steel pipe. In addition, the SF-2500 is
supplied with flexible rubber hoses connecting the freeze heads to
the unit. The rubber hoses make the freeze heads easier to handle
and allow for quicker coiling and storage.
Avoid the Cost and Inconvenience of
a System Shutdown.
The new SuperFreeze® Pipe Freezers are easy-to-use pipe freezing
units that allow the contractor to keep water systems operating while
making repairs. The RIDGID® SF-2500 is a mini-refrigeration unit that
circulates self-contained refrigerant to its aluminum freeze heads. This
will form an ice plug in as little as 5 minutes in copper tube up to 21/2″
and steel pipe up to 2″ for the SF-2500. Once the pipe is plugged,
repairs can be made with no fear of the ice plug melting because
the unit remains on!
The benefits of the SuperFreeze® include:
• Safe. Eliminates the use of CO2, nitrogen, or illegally releasing refrigerants.
• Fast. Forms an ice plug in as little as 5 minutes.
• Easy to Use. Simply attach freeze heads to the pipe and turn the unit ON.
Unit can remain operating while making repairs to insure ice
plug will not melt.
• Convenient. No need to shut off the water supply or drain a system to
make repairs.
• Flexible. Can form one or two plugs with the same machine, at the
same time.
• Portable. Lightweight, compact design. No accessories or bottles of
CO2 to carry. Side handles added for easier carrying.
• Reliable. Specially designed compressor with quick restart capabilities
and overload protection.
• Durable. Provided in rugged stainless steel carrying case, the SuperFreeze®
is covered by the standard RIDGID lifetime-warranty.
