When low oxygen levels are important
In many production processes, the presence of air is inevitable. To attain a better quality product when pasteurizing,
homogenizing or filling the product into containers, the presence of air must be avoided or minimized. During product
preparations air encapsulation is common, especially on laboratory and pilot scale. A deaerator system optimizes
conditions by the removal of air and gas using controlled vacuum and temperature.
Benefits of deaerated products
Increased product stability
Prevents oxidation
Improved product shelf life
Reduced volume of packaging
Color & taste retention
Better homogenization characteristics
Better heat transfer characteristics
The OMVE De-aerator removes gases from a broad range of products. The de-aerator is specifically designed for
laboratory and pilot applications. To simulate industrial de-aeration processes and gain similar results on R&D or Pilot
scale OMVE has developed three main types of de-aeration systems. These systems can be used standalone or
placed in-line with pasteurizers, sterilizers, homogenizers or within a complete process line. All OMVE de-aerators are
skid mounted.
Unique features
Suitable for widest range of products
Aroma recovery condenser
Integration with a Pasteurizer / UHT or homogenizing system possible
Compact and mobile
Minimum number of rotating parts
Automatically controlled inline with other process equipment
Deaeration
Further improvement to the product quality is achieved through an aroma recovery process. Aroma is recovered within
a condenser and reintroduced into the product.
