nnnnThe Analyzer
nnnnThe new Model 9000RM is a single
nnnnor multi-component gas analyzer
nnnnthat can be used alone or as an
nnnnintegrated part of a CEM (continuous
nnnnemissions monitoring) system. The
nnnnanalyzer is 19" rack-mountable and
nnnnsupports Modbus/RS485 and Web
nnnnInterface/ Ethernet connectivity.
nnnnThe Model 9000RM can be
nnnnconfigured to measure most gas
nnnnspecies that absorb in the UV.
nnnnSpecies typically measured directly
nnnnby the Model 9000RM include: S02,
nnnnNO, N02, H2S, COS, CS2, NH3, and
nnnnBTX. Up to five components can be
nnnnmeasured simultaneously making the
nnnnsystem very economical for multi-
nnnncomponent analysis needs.
nnnnThe simple and robust design of
nnnnthe Model 9000RM is complemented
nnnnby powerful data processing
nnnncapabilities. The user-friendly
nnnnkeyboard enables programming
nnnnof such variables as timing and
nnnnfrequency of local zero and span
nnnnchecks. Both analog and digital
nnnnoutputs are available and serial
nnnncommunications via Modbus
nnnnprotocol. An optional paramagnetic
nnnnoxygen sensor can be included to
nnnnprovide 02 corrected concentrations.

nnnnThe Measurement
nnnnThe Western Research® Model
nnnn9000RM uses AMETEK's proprietary
nnnnhigh resolution UV technology in
nnnna dual beam, multiple wavelength
nnnnconfiguration. Resolution is better
nnnnthan 0.02nm, while high intensity
nnnnfixed-wavelength, line source lamps
nnnnemit low total power to reduce the
nnnnpotential for sample photolysis. The
