Ambrell’s versatile EKOHEAT induction heating power supplies are available
in a range of different models to cover a broad spectrum of applications.
Models are available with maximum output power levels from a low of 10 kW
to a high of 1200 kW and a low frequency of 750 Hz up to a high frequency of
150 kHz. Heating smaller parts with induction requires higher frequencies, so the
lower power EKOHEATs are available with higher output frequencies. For the
heating of larger parts, higher power EKOHEATs are available with lower
operating frequencies.
All 72 EKOHEAT models have the same control and display features and each
one is an efficient direct offline inverter with a power factor greater than 0.9.
EKOHEAT is a parallel resonant induction heating system with power output
from a multitap transformer for ease of matching to the part being heated.
Ambrell supplies a range of resonant workheads that may be located up to
30 meters (100 feet) from the EKOHEAT. A user-friendly front panel display
allows for setting the power required to heat the part. Embedded firmware
can be accessed from the front panel for system set-up and fault diagnostics.
All EKOHEATs will operate
at full rated power for 100%
of the time, controllable from
1% to 100% and with a
resolution of 0.024%. The
frequency-agile digital tuner
(patent pending) provides
ultimate part heating versatility
with excellent repeatability.
