In today’s dynamic market, operational and fuel flexibility is increasingly
important while air quality regulations are becoming more stringent. Alstom’s
comprehensive range of fabric filters offer a flexible alternative to Electrostatic
Precipitators (ESPs) when the dust characteristics are challenging, unknown
or variable. They deliver a consistently high level of emission control regardless
of fuel composition or inlet rates.
To meet today’s strict environmental standards, Alstom’s fabric filters can remove
99.97% or more of particulate matter including ultrafine particles of less than
2.5 micron diameter and are suitable for a wide range of industrial applications
requiring particulate collection.
Fabric filters may be used as stand-alone technology or in integrated applications.
For example in Dry Flue Gas Desulphurisation (downstream of the Spray Dryer
Absorber (SDA) or in the NID™ Dry FGD system), in dry scrubbing of aluminium
smelter pot gases (Abart™) or as the principal and polishing filters in mercury
control solutions (Mer-Cure™, Filsorption).
In addition to allowing greater customer choice and customisation, Alstom mega
fabric filter designs occupy a smaller footprint compared to other designs, require lower
initial capital investment and save on delivery and installation times.
