The John Guest model is increasingly unique in an age of outsourcing and diversification. Strict control over the entire engineering and manufacturing process ensures only products of the highest quality are produced.

This vertically integrated supply chain means that a product’s entire journey from initial concept, through to tool design and tool construction, and ultimately through to product manufacture, assembly and testing, has been fully undertaken by John Guest.

Whilst this philosophy provides ultimate control and responsibility over the quality of the product that leaves the production line, it also gives John Guest flexibility to respond quickly to customer ideas and or market trends. This focus even extends to the company designing and manufacturing its own robotic assembly equipment.

John Guest is very proud to be a UK manufacturer and every John Guest connector and coil of tubing is manufactured in the United Kingdom. However, this UK attention does not apply to market reach and product distribution.

The company’s influence and product ranges extend across the world. Ten fully owned sales subsidiaries work with several thousand distribution partners to ensure a JG system can always be purchased and delivered with ease.

Recognition for this global expansion has been attained by successfully winning the Queens Award for Export on three occasions.

The billions of JG connectors currently in use around the world on a wide variety of application types have proven to be the company’s strongest endorsement. With many decades of technical assurance guiding as a leading benchmark, John Guest is a preferred supplier to many international and prestigious organizations.

Values and History

When Mr John Guest first opened his factory doors in 1961, he was determined to run a company where quality of product and excellence of service underpinned its ethos. A strong spirit of innovation was encouraged from the outset which led to the development and invention of the first Speedfit push-fit fittings in the 1970s by John Guest himself.

The company is still family owned and run and greatly appreciates excellent relationships with its distributors and end users. Values of respect and decency are positively encouraged both within the firm and with all external trading partners. A long established reputation has been earned as a world leading manufacturer of push-fit fittings, tubing, and other fluid control products.

This reputation is built on producing consistently high quality and innovative products with an on-going commitment to value engineering and product development.
