Product Information - Jetline Announces Major Product Introduction - Specialized
Boiler Tube Welding Systems
Irvine, California – December 1, 2008 - Jetline manufactures a variety of specialized systems
used for boiler tube welding or similar applications. Application diameters range from 2 to 4 inches
(50-100 mm) with lengths up to 120 feet (36 m) of
extra heavy wall boiler pipe. Material used is typically
carbon steel, stainless steel, or Inconel. The xtures
and the controls are designed for easy integration and
can include material handling. A typical application
is tted with the GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding)
process, cold and/or hot wire feed, arc length control,
and with mechanical torch oscillation.
For sequencing of the welding process and xture control, Jetline offers the all new 9900 Computer
9900 Controlled Tube Welding System
Controller. The 9900 employs the latest computer
technology to simplify the welding process. It is capable of controlling up to 15 parameters using closed
loop control. With this boiler tube application, the 9900 Controller provides accurate and repeatable
parameters for current, arc voltage, hot wire
voltage, wire feed speed, oscillation, travel
speed, and torch gas ow.
Options available to the system include
motorized vertical lathe adjustment for
varying part diameters and horizontal part
alignment. Material handling to move pipe
through the rotational spindles and pneuPart Holding & Rotating Assembly with 9900 Controller
