• Access to certified Husky energy
auditors with
injection molding experience
• Combining plastic
processing expertise and energy
management
experience enables Husky’s
Manufacturing Advisory Services
team to identify energy savings
opportunities that may not be
uncovered by local utilities
Benefits
• Identify areas of wasted
energy
• Provide financial analysis
for individual reduction opportunities
• Average payback periods
are between one and two years,
offering attractive returns and carbon footprint reductions
• Outline a sustainment
program, including energy KPIs,
policies, sub-metering and predictive energy consumption analysis
Husky’s Total Energy Management program provides a structured way to help
customers achieve and sustain lower energy consumption across the entire injection
molding operation, thereby reducing operating costs.
Pressure from consumers and rising energy
costs have increased the importance of
reducing energy consumption (measured
in kWh/kg of resin processed). Energy is
a cost that must be monitored and controlled, leading to improved financial
performance.
By working with Husky, customers can get
an accurate profile of their current energy
consumption, as well as plan for reduced
and sustained future energy consumption. This is achieved by identifying areas
of wasted energy, quantifying the financial and environmental benefit from new
equipment and procedural changes, and
implementing management practices and
tools that bring visibility to sustaining lower
energy consumption within an operation.
Often, assessment and implementation
costs can be partially offset by local government programs or other programs that
offer incentives or rebates. Husky can assist
customers in identifying the available
programs that encourage energy efficient
operations.
