nnnnThe Series 9000-RCM electrical design is based on I EC or NEMA
nnnnstandards. The mechanical design is based on International
nnnnstandards including ISO, ANSI, and CSA. These motors are
nnnnbuilt to API 546 Standards, meeting structural and testing
nnnnrequirements. In hazardous areas, NFPA and I EC standards
nnnnare strictly adhered.

nnnnStator laminations are precision
nnnnpunched from high-quality low
nnnnloss electrical sheet steel that are
nnnncoated with a thermally-stable
nnnninsulation film (C5 coating) to
nnnnminimize eddy current losses.
nnnnThe laminations are stacked in
nnnnaccurate alignment outside the
nnnnframe. The core is clamped under
nnnnhigh uniform pressure to provide
nnnnstiffness. The resulting assembled
nnnnstator core has superior strength and rigidity, which promotes
nnnnquiet performance, long life and trouble free operation.
nnnnLow Speed Rotor
nnnnLow speed synchronous rotors are
nnnnsimple in design and rugged in
nnnnconstruction. The rotor
nnnndesigns typically include
nnnna forged steel shaft
nnnnalong with a fabricated steel hub,
nnnnweb and rim to support the rotor
nnnnpole and winding. The rim diameter
nnnnand thickness is selected to suit the
nnnninertia requirements as well as to
nnnnThe rotor electrical and
nnnnmechanical design plays a
nnnncritical role in achieving high
nnnnperformance. GE's rotor
