PowerINSPECT Laser Scanning0 pages
PowerINSPECT Laser Scanning allows the measurement of a component to CAD using a laser line probe on an articulated arm. You can
also acquire component data without CAD and export to STL or third party applications for reverse engineering or CAD, such as Delcam’s
PowerSHAPE Pro. PowerINSPECT Laser Scanning also has all the benefits associated with PowerINSPECT.
Non-Contact Inspection
When used in conjunction with a laser line probe, PowerINSPECT no longer requires the part to be
physically probed.
Benefits:
•t
•t
•t
•t
Non-contact inspection allows the inspection of fragile or flexible components
Real time feedback of deviations - quickly highlight errors using a colour map
Import data and create colour map deviations for offline analysis
Inspect geometric entities directly from the cloud data
Data Acquisition
Data that has been digitised using a laser line probe can be exported into Delcam’s PowerSHAPE Pro
(or any other third party CAD or reverse engineering software).
Benefits:
•t
•t
•t
Helps reverse or re-engineering by quickly capturing data from complex freeform components
Easily share data with other software or departments
Output to STL for prototyping
Performance
Collecting data over large surface areas is quicker, with a higher rate of data acquisition than
conventional hard probes.
Benefits:
•t
•t
•t
Less time taken to acquire data
More data collected for analysis
Faster inspection times than conventional hard probes - no contact required with component
Ease of Use
PowerINSPECT Laser Scanning offers an easy upgrade to PowerINSPECT, giving faster and
easier inspection of large freeform components.
Benefits:
•t
•t
All the functionality of PowerINSPECT combined with an easy to use interface for Laser Scanning
Existing users of PowerINSPECT only need minimum training for PowerINSPECT Laser Scanning
