Summary
TDC electromagnetic flow meter is a kind of flow meter that is developed in Dandong
Top Electronics Instrument Co., Ltd on the basis of Faraday law of electromagnetic
induction. It can be divided into two types, field indication type (integral type) and
remote indication type (separated type). The converter is equipped with large screen with
clear LCD backlight and English menu. The indication is direct and clear. The meter can
be applied for the flow measurement for the liquids which conductivity is larger than
5μS/cm such as pulps, slurry, mash and sewage, etc. It is suitable for the application in
chemical, power, mine, metallurgy, water supply, paper making, medicine and food
industries, etc.
Principle of operation
The measuring principle is on the basis of the Faraday law
of electromagnetic induction. I.e, when the conductive
liquid moves in the magnetic field cutting the magnetic line
of force, the induced electromotive force will be generated
in the inductive fluid. "E" denotes the induced electromotive
force. E= KB V D. K: constant, B: magnetic induction, V :
average velocity in the sectional area of the measuring tube,
D: the diameter of the measuring tube.
When measuring, the liquid flows by the magnetic field
with its direction vertical with the direction of the magnetic
field, the voltage will be induced by the flowing liquid,
which is in direct proportion to the average velocity (i.e,
volumetric flow). Two electrodes that contact directly to the
liquid will pick up the voltage, then transmit it to an
amplifier. Finally, it will be converted into an output signal.
