Company profile Clicktouch's story begins in 1986 under the name of Velleman Switch. The company's goal,
which was decided when it was founded, was simple: to develop and produce membrane
keyboards based on a new technology. This new product was marketed under the brand
name Clicktouch© and it was granted patent rights in Europe and the United States. In 1989,
the company was taken over by the Sidmar group, currently known as Arcelor-Mittal, one of
the biggest steel companies in the world. A year after this, the company moved to new
premises in Gavere. The company grew rapidly and in 1999, there was a management
buyout. In 2003, the company's name was changed to Clicktouch and a joint venture was
founded in Canada.
Today, Clicktouch is one of the most important suppliers for a broad range of
electronic input devices as components for "Human Machine Interfaces"
(HMI). Our company premises are located on the Asper-Gavere business
park, close to Ghent. Because of the commitment of our 45 employees, we are
now one of the important European companies in the industry. Our ISO 9001
certified company, a modern infrastructure, a progressive product and
process knowledge, innovative products and highly educated and motivated
employees help us achieve an annual revenue of 7 million Euros, 80 % of
which is earned from exports.
The Belgian organisation is mainly focused on marketing in Europe, whereas
our sales in the United States and Canada are managed by our Canadian joint
venture, Clicktouch America.
We have local salesmen in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany, so we can offer
our European customers fast and personal services. Apart from this, we also have a
representative who operates in all the other countries, to provide our customers, services
efficiently.
We mainly offer complete solutions, from outline to end product. In order to create
integrated solutions we can deliver the following products:
Membrane keyboards, Touch screens, Clicktouch Force Sensors, Capacitive
Sensors (Charge Transfer Sensing), Contact Layers, Industrial Keyboards, Safety
and Heating Films, etc. We also offer related products and services such as support plates,
glass, backlighting …
Our products offer a broad spectrum of solutions. The most important applications are
access control, banking applications, vending machines, as well as laboratory and
measuring instruments, medical appliances and devices, car instruments and control
panels, sports, home automation, transport, defence, agriculture, telecommunication,
automation, etc.
