BIW Connector Systems Casualty Power Distribu-
tion System provides for emergency transmission
of power around damaged shipboard areas.
The Casualty Power Distribution System is versa-
tile, rugged (shock tested), watertight, easily
installed and provides a ready source for depend-
able, backup power.
The system conforms to MIL-DTL-24552(SH),
and is approved on the US Navy's Quality Prod-
ucts List.

Casualty Power supply connectors are installed at
electrical equipment panels, fire pumps, general
power load centers, IC power panels, lighting
system transformers, machinery space vital auxil-
iaries power panel, power distribution panels (for
portable submersible pumps or foam sprinkler
system valves), replenishment machinery panels
on cargo ships and steering power panels.
Plug caps are an avialable option to protect
Symbol 1049 from corrosion and contamination
while installed aboard ship.
