An essential part of any cellar services technician’s tool kit is a
device for calibrating blend ratios of solutions.
Commonly volumetric cups or optical hand held refractometers
are employed but in order to provide the tightest control of either
soft drink or beer dispense systems, latest technology digital
instrumentation offers far greater reliability and control enabling
for better syrup yield from syrups as well as superior pump
performance.
Bellingham + Stanley has been manufacturing refractometers
since 1914 and to complement it’s existing range of products
has recently launched the new OPTi-Dispense digital hand held
refractometer specifically for cellar service technicians.
The OPTi-Dispense features two separate measurement scales with
product specific temperature compensation in order to uniquely
provide Brix analysis of soft drinks at point of dispense and %
glycol within beer dispense cooling systems from a single hand
held instrument.
The OPTi-Dispense provides a convenient, simple way of accurately
determining blend ratios, providing for tightly controlled yields of
syrups in soda dispense applications as well as a more efficient and
cost effective cooling medium in beer cooling systems.
