nnnnSpecimen blanking machines for specimen preparation of metals
nnnnHydraulic specimen blanking machine type M-Cut 65
nnnnHydraulic specimen blanking machine type RZ 100
nnnnRange of application
nnnnNowadays test pieces from steel sheet and metal foils
nnnnare economically and accurately produced using speci-
nnnnmen Planking machines. The standards, e.g.
nnnnISO 6892, ASTM A 370, ... stipulate that the test results
nnnnmust not Pe influenced by any material change caused
nnnnby strain-hardening at the test piece edge zone.
nnnnNumerous structural examinations of steel sheet have
nnnnshown that the strain-hardening zone along the cut-
nnnnting line is generally a maximum 10 % of test piece
nnnnthickness. This is achieved by a low cutting speed and
nnnnspecial blanking tool design and offers substantial eco-
nnnnnomic advantages in the event of subsequent grinding.
nnnnIn this way high specimen quality is ensured.
nnnnWe offer following models:
nnnnC-shape specimen blanking machines
nnnn(M-Cut 65)
nnnnThe open shape of specimen blanking machines and
nnnnblanking tools (C-shape) also allows specimens to be
nnnntaken from panels. If several blanking tools are used
nnnnthe roller table version of the table extension is recom-
nnnnmended: So blanking tools not being used at that time
nnnncan be put aside. With table extension, tool changes
nnnntake about 20 seconds, offering significant time-savings
nnnnwhere tool changes are frequent.
nnnnThe blanking machine M-Cut 65 (with a compressive
nnnnforce of 650 kN) is suitable for the material thicknesses
nnnn0.04 to 6 mm (depending on tensile strength and speci-
nnnnmen shape).
nnnnO-shape specimen blanking machines
nnnn(RZ 100/ RZ 150)
nnnnThe closed shape (O-shape) requires pre-cut strips
nnnn70 ... 80 mm wide. These specimen blanking machines
nnnnare already equipped with a table extension.
nnnnBlanking tools
nnnnBlanking tools can be produced exactly to customers'
nnnnrequirements, an example being tools made from a spe-
nnnncial steel which were produced with additional guides
nnnnto enable dumbbell specimens to be punched from foils
nnnnwith a thickness of 0.04 mm and a tensile strength of
nnnn2,150 MPa. Depending on the strength of the material,
nnnnbetween 20,000 and 150,000 specimens can be pro-
nnnnduced with the tools, which can then be re-sharpened.
nnnnAdvantages/f eatu res
nnnn• Fast, cost-efficient production of tensile specimens
nnnn• No specialists required - anyone can operate the
nnnnmachine after a brief training period
nnnn• Manufacture of very high-quality specimens by
nnnnfinishing with a specimen grinding machine
nnnn• Robust, easily maintained machines
nnnn• Long edge life of the blanking tools and possibility of
nnnnrepeated resharpening
