nnnnThe eZ80Acclaim!® family of Flash Microcontrollers
nnnn(MCUs) is the latest addition to ZiLOG's microcontroller
nnnnline-up offering on-chip Flash memory. With speeds up
nnnnto 50MHz and an on-chip Ethernet MAC (eZ80F91 only),
nnnndesigners have the necessary performance to execute
nnnncomplex applications quickly and efficiently. Combining
nnnnup to 256KB of Flash with up to 1 6KB SRAM (when not
nnnnusing the EMACs 8KB Frame Buffer), the eZ80Acclaim!®
nnnnFlash MCU devices provide the memory needed to
nnnnimplement communication protocol stacks and achieve
nnnnthe flexibility when performing in-system updates of
nnnnapplication firmware.
nnnnThe eZ80Acclaim!® Flash MCU can operate in full
nnnn24-bit linear mode addressing 1 6MB without a Memory
nnnnManagement Unit. Additionally, support for the Z80-
nnnncompatible mode allows Z80®/Z1 80 customers to execute
nnnnlegacy code within multiple 64KB memory blocks with
nnnnminimum modification. With an external bus supporting
nnnneZ80®, Z80®, Intel®, and Motorola® bus modes, designers
nnnnhave several options when interfacing to external devices.
nnnnThese high performance, 8-bit Flash microcontrollers
nnnnoffer a rich set of serial communication peripherals
nnnnincluding two UARTs supporting multi-drop mode, l2C,
nnnnSPI, and an IrDA EnDec that facilitates wireless data
nnnntransfer. In addition, the eZ80F92 and eZ80F93
nnnndevices offer a pin-compatible footprint with the
nnnneZ80L92 and backwards compatibility to the Z80®
nnnnand Z180.
nnnnOverall, the eZ80Acclaim!® MCUs are an exceptional
nnnnvalue for customers designing high performance, 8-bit
