Product Overview
Spatial’s 3D InterOp delivers the highest
quality data exchange between CAD
formats, enabling superior CAD fi le
translation. The comprehensive suite
of translators is embedded in many of
today’s leading design, engineering, and
manufacturing applications. The suite
supports exchange of solid, surface (b-rep),
wireframe and product manufacturing
information (PMI) via a variety of neutral
and native 3D formats. Spatial’s unique
position as a provider of 3D translators
and developer of 3D ACIS® Modeler
ensures robust and comprehensive data
exchange.
3D InterOp provides the ability to
add a full set of 3D data exchange to
applications without extensive code
modifi cation. The result is more internal
development resources devoted to core
competencies and value-add, lower ongoing
maintenance costs, and faster
time-to-market.

The CATIA V5 format represents one of
the largest and fastest growing installed
bases in the industry. Spatial’s InterOp
CATIA V5 Reader and Writer use native
CATIA libraries from Dassault Systèmes,
Spatial’s parent company, to provide
unparalleled accuracy in translation.
High-quality Data Exchange
Spatial has developed commercial
geometry tools for more than 20 years
and this experience is refl ected in our
InterOp Translators, which excel in precise
translation of 3D geometry and associated
engineering data.
Automated Repair
3D InterOp translations support the
translation of Solid, Wire, Surface (B-rep),
free surfaces, free curves and free points.
Advanced modeling technology is used in
each of the translators to address common
data translation diff erences including:

and optionally repaired in order
to produce a very high quality
manufacturable model

topology repair is combined with
advanced stitching capabilities to
