The Euro205x Motion Coordinator is a Eurocard stepper/
servo controller with the built-in ability to control up to 4
servo or stepper motors in any combination. In addition a
single Trio Daughter Board may be tted to allow the control
of additional axes or a communications channel.
The Euro205x is designed to provide a powerful yet costeffective control solution for OEM machine builders who are
prepared to mount the unit and provide the power supplies
required.
User programs are written in Trio’s established multi-tasking
TrioBASIC language using the powerful Motion Perfect 2
application development software making complex motion such
as cams, gears, linked axes, and interpolation easy.

The Euro205x features a total of 8 axes in software. Any axes
not assigned to built-in hardware can be used as a virtual axis.
Standard axis or multi-axis digital drive daughter boards may
also be added.

The built-in inputs and outputs may be used for system
interaction or may be dened to be used by the controller
for end of travel limits, datuming and feedhold functions as
required. 8 status LEDs are available which can be set to
display the status of banks of inputs or outputs. If the built-in
CAN channel is not used for connecting I/O modules, it may
optionally be used for CAN communications or as a DeviceNet
Slave.

The Euro205x is supplied as standard with axis 0 congured as
a stepper axis. Software “Feature Enable Codes” (FEC) can be
purchased and then entered using Motion Perfect to enable
axes 1,2 and 3 for either servo or stepper operation. Axis 0
can also be upgraded to a servo axis. No extra hardware is
required to update these additional axes.
