The most widely fielded and battle proven
detector in the world, GID-3 is highly
portable, easy to use and rapidly deployed.
As well as point detection, it can monitor
the integrity of collective protective systems
in vehicles, command bunkers and small
ships. GID-3 detects and measures the
concentration levels of Chemical Warfare
agents and Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TICs).
Operated remotely, the GID-3 provides
perimeter protection either as a standalone unit, or networked together using
hardwired or wireless systems. Vehicle-or
ship-mounted, it can monitor contamination
of the outside air or alert personnel to the
presence of a chemical agent within the
vehicle interior.
Capabilities are extended even further, by
the GID-3 Radio Alarm System, allowing a
single operator to monitor multiple units in
relative safety from a remote location.
The GID-3 has been designed to withstand
the harshest battlefield conditions. The
detector of choice for the US Department of
Defence, fulfilling their requirement for the
M22 ACADA detector and is in use widely
throughout NATO, there are currently more
than 40,000 units deployed around the world.
