The Chargetec Ranges
Economy - C200 range
The C200 range of battery trip units provide the basic function of providing a back
up battery trip supply with limited standing load capabilities (20W). They come
with a voltmeter, an LED for mains on and an output MCB.
Intermediate - C300 range
The C300 range of battery trip units provide a greater array of functions than those
offered in the Economy range. This includes a microprocessor based charger with a
range of alarms, including mains fail, charge fail and load test fail. The battery load
test facility is automatic and the standing load capability is increased over the
economy range to 50W. The battery and output MCB’s also have an isolated alarm
function wired into the common alarm circuit.
Advanced - C400 range
The C400 range of battery trip units provide a more comprehensive array of
functions to those offered in the Intermediate range. This includes a microprocessor
based temperature compensated current limited charger with a wider range of
alarms. High volts, low volts and high impedance alarms are standard on the 24V
& 30V units and can be added with the addition of a BA300 battery alarm relay
on the 110V versions. The metering is also increased over the Intermediate range
to include a charger output ammeter and an alarm LED. This range is typically for
larger battery and / or standing load capabilities. This is typically between 8-26Ah
batteries with 5-10A chargers.
