The Monode Model 311 Power Supply and Hand Marking Etch has often been specified in deep etch marking on
air craft and aerospace parts. Capable of marking more than .006 inch deep in most substrates the Monode deep
marking process is safe, legible and most importantly low stress.
This low stress but permanent mark is a cost effective way to mark a wide range of metal parts both flat and round.
The process is simple, the power unit delivers AC or DC current to the marking head which is covered with a pad
saturated with one of several electrolytes. The part is grounded to the red lead by a clip or any convenient method.
A stencil, having apertures forming the legend, is placed between the part and the marking head pad. The flow of
electrical current and the electrolyte through the stencil aperture result in the removal of metallic ions from the part
surface (and on AC, the redeposit of metal oxide) leaving a legible mark.
Turnkey Solutions can be provided for all your marking needs.
Send us complete information and/or parts and prints so we
can put our experience to work for you. We can recommend the
stencil system, electrolytes and provide marking solutions from
standard selection of supplies. Or if needed our engineering
staff can provide a turnkey custom solution to meet your needs.
