Mobile System Components
A mobile waterjet system has three major components. A typical
application is shown but the components will vary depending
on the combination of the mobile pump, water tool, and support
equipment.
Mobile Intensifier Pump
The mobile intensifier pump produces the ultra high pressure
(UHP) water needed for the water tools. The pump can be diesel
or electric powered and rated for 36,000 psi (2500 bar) or
55,000 psi (3800 bar).

Water Tools
Water tools are used to clean or cut material. All water tools
require support equipment. The type of support equipment
varies with the type of water tool.
Support Equipment
Support equipment includes things like a water tank to supply
the mobile pump, an air compressor to operate a water tool, an
abrasive distribution system for cutting tools, and control boxes
to turn the UHP water/air on or off to the water tool.

Cutting Tools
Cleaning tools are used to strip material from a surface and
prepare it for resurfacing. Cleaning tools include the following:
Cutting tools are used to cut through material. Cutting tools are
equipped with an abrasivejet. Cutting tools include the following:
Lance—a hand-held tool with a single nozzle to clean smallsized areas.
Lance—a hand-held tool that directs an abrasive water stream
to cut material.
GyraJet—a hand-held tool that rotates a manifold with multiple
nozzles to clean medium-sized areas.
Spyder Abrasivejet—a tool that follows a track to direct an
abrasive water stream in a linear motion to cut material.
Deckblaster—a lawn mower style tool that rotates a spray bar
with multiple nozzles to clean large-sized areas.
Pipe Cutter—a tool that follows a track to direct an abrasive
water stream to cut pipes.

The mobile intensifier pump requires a water supply. The water
supply is typically pumped from a portable water tank; a
municipal water supply can also be used when available.
