GAI-Tronic’s emergency warning solutions use
the latest and most efficient designs. They are
lightweight, robust and simple to use.
The
loudspeaker
array
uses
modular
construction that can be configured for omnidirectional and directional sound radiation.
The flexible design allows for a variety of
Communication methods to be used, from hard
wire to Radio Control using secure digital
telemetry
system
to
create
a
secure
communication network. This solution is ideal for
wide area and disaster warning applications such
as COMAH (Seveso II) Alarm, Toxic Gas
Release, Fire, Security, Flood Warning, Tsunami
Alert and Civil Defence.
The siren head is built from specially designed
aluminium sound projector horns. Each horn
assembly is equipped with high performance
compression drivers, designed for maximum
sound pressure level over the required power
Bandwidth. The compression magnet uses the
latest Neodymium – Nickel – Iron Alloy. This
provides a significant increase in the Flux Density
and power handling capacity. The SPL level of
this horn-driver combination is effectively uniform
over the complete audio bandwidth used by
electronic sirens.
The sirens are lightweight making installation on
to the freestanding poles easy and do not impose
a significant load if installed on top of buildings.
The siren electronics provide the capability to
generate several different alarm signals and
electronically stored voice messages. In addition
to this, live messages can be broadcast from
microphone access stations located throughout
the facility. Each siren can be controlled via push
buttons located on the local control box, remote
rd
access stations or via contacts from a 3 party
system.
The siren electronics; control, communication are
installed inside a fully weatherproof metal
cabinet, rated at IP56 for use in non-hazardous
areas.
Each control unit connected to a speaker array is
equipped with a battery backup supply to ensure
operation is maintained during mains failures. In
addition to this, regular silent tests are conducted
in order to alert the operator to any equipment
failure.
