The A2-PAC base units
feature a variety of
communication interfaces
and a Mini-PCIexpress slot
The A2-PAC device family combines the advantages
of PC-based controls with the typical features of
PLCs and motion controller.

The basic version is equipped with an Intel® Atom™
dual-core CPU. With the alternatively applicable
i-Series CPUs, also the most demanding control and
visualization tasks can be realized.
Despite its extremely compact size, all A2-PAC base
units feature a variety of communication interfaces.
In addition to the typical PC interfaces such as
Ethernet, USB, HDMI additional interfaces for use as
a machine or system control are available.
The Real-time Ethernet interface supports Sercos
and EtherCAT, each as a master or slave. Also already
onboard available are CAN and digital I/Os . These
interfaces can either be addressed by the system
CPU over PCIe or the second onboard CPU. In this
configuration the data exchange with the system
CPU is done over a fast dual-port RAM interface.
Panels can be connected to the
A2-PAC base unit via a single
cable up to a distance of 25m.
C/C++
The A2-PAC base units are programmed with
CODESYS IEC 61131-3 or in C/C++. The standard
operating system is Windows® CE. Other operating
systems are available on demand.
