GRP Flight and Gun Deck Safety Net Assemblies
Properties such as corrosion resistance, lighter operating weight, fatigue
resistance, and an ability to tailor structural and mechanical properties to suit
the operating environment make composite materials ideal for marine and
offshore use.
Thanks to many years of experience in producing composite materials, Von
Roll manufactures GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) assemblies from their Delglas®
product range that offer a comparative advantage and cost-effective alternative
to conventional metal-based flight deck safety net systems.
Von Roll manufactures lightweight, easily installed and operated GRP flight and
gun deck safety equipment for naval vessels. Systems come fully assembled,
rigged with safety net and lanyard, and equipped with appropriate deck
fittings, ready to install.
