nnnnA temperature-dependant resistive element be-
nnnntween two parallel copper conductors regulates
nnnnand limits the heat output of the heating cable.
nnnnThis output regulation is carried out automati-
nnnncally along the entire length of the heating cable
nnnnaccording to the prevailing ambient temperature.
nnnnAs the ambient temperature rises, the heat out-
nnnnput of the cable is reduced. This self-limiting
nnnnproperty prevents overheating even when the
nnnncable are overlapped. A temperature limiter is not
nnnnrequired (not even in explosion hazard zones).
nnnnThanks to the parallel power supply the heating
nnnncable can be cut to any required length. This fea-
nnnnture considerably simplifies project planning and
nnnninstallation. The heating cable is cut and termi-
nnnnnated in accordance with the local requirements
nnnndirectly on the construction site. In cases where
nnnnthe cable may become damaged, it is not neces-
nnnnsary to replace the whole circuit but only the
nnnnaffected part.
